Frequently asked questions
Does TraderAI Assistant work with any market (forex, crypto, stocks)?
Yes. Forex, crypto, stocks, indices, commodities, CFDs — all of them. AI analyzes your trades regardless of instrument. The Journal and Consistency Guardian work based on your entries, so they don't require broker integration. And if you trade futures on TopstepX — on every plan you can connect your account and trades will land in the journal automatically.
How does the TopstepX integration work?
On every plan you connect your TopstepX account and the platform starts working on real data: every trade automatically lands in the Journal (auto-journaling), a real-time discipline guardian detects revenge trading, overtrading, missing stop losses or size escalation after a loss. On Pro, Shadow Analysis independently reviews each of your entries. After you close your day, you can enable an automatic account lockout (Personal Lockout) until the end of the trading day. The platform never places orders and never changes your limits — the only allowed action is the optional lockout, which you enable yourself.
What is Shadow Analysis?
On the Pro plan, with a connected TopstepX account, AI reviews each of your trades independently of you — including ones you logged manually from a screenshot. It looks at context, entry, stop loss, trade management and exit. The point is the learning loop: you can describe and assess the trade yourself first, and only then compare with the AI's review. Your own assessment first, then the confrontation — that's how you build independence, not reliance on a tool.
How is TraderAI Assistant different from other trading journals?
Most "trading journals" are glorified spreadsheets. TraderAI Assistant is different — AI analyzes your entries and catches patterns, the Consistency Guardian monitors discipline, the AI Assistant reviews your analyses against your own methodology, and the Your Progress system measures your Process Score and points out specific skill gaps. Pro adds the full Trader Mind: memory, Markdown notes, hypotheses and concepts that Deep Mentor uses during deep analyses.
What is Consistency Score and why is it more important than profit alone?
Consistency Score is your discipline rating on a 0-100 scale. It measures not how much you earn, but whether you stick to the plan. A trader with 55% win rate but consistency score of 40 — will lose money. Same trader with consistency of 85 — starts making money, because emotions stop messing things up.
How much does TraderAI Assistant cost?
We offer two paid plans: Basic at $50/mo or $500/year, and Pro at $100/mo or $1,000/year. Pro includes everything in Basic plus full trader memory, Markdown notes, Deep Mentor, monthly reports, advanced analytics, voice notes and Shadow Analysis. There is no separate Deep Mentor subscription.
Can I try it before buying?
There is no free trial — your subscription and billing start immediately when you choose a plan. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings.
Why do Deep Mentor analyses require your own API key?
Deep Mentor is included in Pro, but its deep Claude analyses require significantly more compute than the standard AI Mentor. You therefore pay their usage cost directly to Anthropic through your own key — we do not add it to the subscription fee. The standard Mentor and Pro memory do not require this key. Deep Mentor automations are off by default; after explicit opt-in, their typical estimated cost is about USD 60–75/mo, depending on usage.
Is my trading data safe?
Yes. End-to-end encryption, Row Level Security — each user sees only their own data. We don't share it with anyone and we don't sell it. Full GDPR compliance. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, no strings attached. Change your plan or cancel — one click in account settings.
Can I get a refund?
The digital service starts immediately once payment is made. Under EU consumer law, by agreeing to immediate performance of a digital service you waive the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. You can cancel your subscription at any time (access continues until the end of the period you already paid for), but we do not refund charges already incurred.
Will AI replace my mentor?
No, and that's not the point. AI is an additional tool — gives you objective, instant feedback 24/7. Even the best mentor can't provide that non-stop. TraderAI Assistant complements, not replaces, human mentoring.
